ReactStack is an advanced Visual Content Management System (CMS) specifically designed for React and Next.js projects. It streamlines web development workflows by offering features like effortless component publishing, instant sync with Next.js, a drag-and-drop editing interface, and more.
ReactStack stands out with its use of Module Federation technology, allowing for seamless updates and deployment without complex mechanisms. Unlike other CMS systems, ReactStack supports on-demand static site generation and enables component updates to be instantly reflected in the deployed app without the need for rebuilding.
ReactStack functions in three distinct environments: local, remote, and deployed. The local version runs on the engineer's local project, enabling them to update and publish custom components to the cloud. The remote version is accessible via our website, where marketers and other users can interact with the project. The deployed version consists of the original design and an editor, allowing users to make changes directly on their website.
Engineers can create and publish custom components easily. When new components are updated, users can access them by refreshing the page or the templates column in the remote environment. This process eliminates the need for complex installations, streamlining content and style updates.
ReactStack supports Material-UI (MUI) components, props, and sx styling, allowing for extensive customization. Users can style designated areas of a component, maintaining a balance between flexibility and structure. The platform also supports theme customization, including palette updates, with plans to expand these options.
ReactStack uses on-demand static site generation. When content is updated in the editor, the CMS updates the database and calls the revalidate API of Next.js to rebuild the changed page with new content or components. This ensures that the deployed app is always up-to-date without requiring a full rebuild.
The editor allows users to change both content and style, supporting various component types and built-in settings. It accommodates all CSS options, but it's up to the users to connect these props to the components. Our MUI replacement components use original MUI components with an additional wrapper for editing capabilities.
ReactStack supports responsive design, allowing different breakpoints to be edited through the editor. This ensures that websites created with ReactStack are optimized for various screen sizes and devices.
Yes, users need to define schemas for every custom component. These schemas determine the props and default values, enabling customization options for those defined schema props. Users decide the type of component within the schema, like a Button, Image, or Custom Object.
Yes, ReactStack supports image upload and hosting on the cloud, streamlining the process of incorporating visual elements into web content.
We are continuously working on enhancing ReactStack's capabilities. Future updates will include more extensive theme customization options and support for white label editor solutions, broadening the scope of customization and branding opportunities for our users.
